CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Azazel

I breathed in the fruity scent of her soap. The divine concoction of citric and sweet was maddening. Her lips were on mine—hard, leaving no doubt that her desire mirrored mine.

Thick thighs enveloped my waist, and her ankles were linked together behind the small of my back. Feminine hands thrust into my hair, yanking my head back to kiss my jaw, the curve of my neck, and broad shoulders. It took all my concentration to put one foot in front of the other while carrying her down the hall when all I wanted to do was lay her down here and now.

My heart thumped in my chest. My lungs seized as his tongue danced with mine. I drew in a deep breath to steady my nerves, a desperate attempt to stop myself from melting onto the floor in a puddle of hormones and liquid lust.

My angelic manhood throbbed and ached for her touch; ready for the events that had transpired in my mind to take life and become more than a fantasy—more than a dream scenario. I knew it was forbidden—a one way ticket to Limbo—but the taboo nature of our pairing only made me want it more.

The bed was too far. I couldn’t contain myself anymore. Setting her down onto the plush carpet, I kissed her deeply, sliding my tongue into her mouth and tasting the moan that escaped her lips. It’s decadent like dark chocolate, and bitter like pure ecstasy.

Her skin was still damp from the bath. There hadn’t been time to properly dry off—I wouldn’t allow for it. Beads of water still dripped from her hair and rolled freely down the swell of her chest. They filled me with a jealous need to be closer than them even with their inanimacy. I kissed my way down the soft curve of her body, wicking them up along the way. Seeing her squirm only bred the need inside of me.

“Jesus, and here I thought I was going to have to teach you,” Celeste said, her voice honeyed and breathy.

I chuckled against her stomach and she flinched at the sudden onslaught of air hitting the sensitive, wet skin. “Sweetheart, I might be an angel, but I’m no saint. That’s Michael’s job.”

Nuzzling lower, I kissed and nipped my way from her knee, up her thigh, and to the rise of her hips. She quivered and it excited me to see her body respond to mine in such a manner, and even more so when I realized the curtains matched the drapes.

I paused, glancing up with lascivious eyes and taking in the sight of her. My gaze must’ve lingered too long because Celeste wove her hands back in my hair and guided my face right where she wanted me. Obliging her every need, I curled my arms under her legs, gripped her hips and dragged her to me, coaxing another moan. My head swarmed with half-formed thoughts as lust took over and turned my brain to mush.

“You were right,” I mumbled. Her body went rigid and she quickly pushed herself up on her elbows.
